Scholarship

The Jeff Katon Scholarship Foundation is a private tax-exempt foundation established in loving memory of Jeffrey Paul Katon.
 
This scholarship is available to any student living in Beaufort County, South Carolina, who has a GPA of 3.0/4.0, is planning to attend a four-year accredited college and demonstrates financial need.
 
Since our inception, we have awarded $24,000 to Beaufort County students to help them pay for college.

2010 – Madison Howell – College of Charleston – Class of 2014

2011 – Continuing Education Scholarships awarded to Lauren, Emily and Madison

2012 – Jacob George – UT Austin / Justin Shaw – Clemson University – Class of 2016

2013 – Britnee Kratochvil – Randolph College – Class of 2017

2014 – Christian Steinmetz – Clemson University – Class of 2018

2015 – Wesley Kerr – Davidson College / Marcel Smith – Clemson University – Class of 2019

2016 – Thomas MacDonald – University of South Carolina – Class of 2020

The Jeff Katon Scholarship Foundation was established as a charitable fund in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, a local nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All contributions to the Jeff Katon Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry are fully tax deductible as allowable by law.
